Brundlefly & The Swede – ‘Cabin Music’ LP
An instrumental record, pitching it’s sound between the idyllic acoustic leanings of Jim O’Rourke, and the adventurous tonality of vintage Yes… The record owes debt to mid 90’s era “post-rock” as well, in it’s fearless sense of movement and experimental leanings. the album plays as two complete sides of uninterrupted and constantly evolving music, finding focus in the intricate acoustic guitar center, fanning out broadly into full electric accompaniment, and accented beautiful with strings, flutes, and bass clarinets.

Yoshida brings his trademark harsh sounds, with ear-ripping mid frequencies, and extremely heavy changes within the use of his equipment. Crunchy, fuzzy sounds shifting each other with massive delay-modulation, in the whole spectrum of hearable audio, like a non-stop machine, what was not even made by a human, but itself. The years what Yoshida\’s spent in this genre is now shows it\’s routine.This is Government Alpha in it\’s most favorite mode, a chaotic, but well-controlled, distorted avalanche to the cochlea. Inhos, the man behind Halalnihil brings four composed Harsh P.E. tracks in it\’s own style. ALICE KEMP – ‘Decay and Persistence’ CDr 8€
Alice Kemp aka Germseed has been active in the field of experimental music, sound- and performance art (among other things) for more than two decades. She is part of the Lazarus Corporation artists’ collective and has performed in Japan, USA, UK & Europe. Not only her performances at last year’s Schimpfluch Carnival in Bristol left the audience baffled and speechless. Decay and Persistence is the reworking of a soundtrack originally created for two performances by Rebecca Weeks and Ian Whitford in Odzaci and Venice, 2012. AK is based in South Devon, UK. In a simple and saccharine close to yet another Haute Magie cycle, we present you with the debut EP by Arkansas-bred but Austin-based Poppy Red. This short and sweet tape of six etherous love hymns rests somewhere comfortably between folk, electro-pop, and 90s rock lull. Nostalgic to the teeth yet decidedly modern – a wholly fresh sound. Filip Gheysen – ‘Tabletop Guitar’ CD+DVD
Filip Gheysen is a musician and audio artist, living and working in Ghent, Belgium, with a passion for sound and experimental music. Using only a tabletop guitar, effects and the occasional autoharp, he creates abstract droning soundscapes, stripped of all unnecessary elements, focussing solely on the timbre and tone of his instrument. These elements are equally visible in Gheysen’s visual art, which is presented in the accompanying art booklet. In his abstract prints and paintings, there is obviously a play with the tones of a colour, thus an inversion of the aforementioned musical term. This pertinent in- and decrease of saturation and of temperature in the pictorial field is comparable to what is going on in his music. ‘Tabletop Guitar’ presents both his musical and visual art and adds a third field of interest. The videoworks that can be found on the dvd are the culmination of his two main outlets, giving a new dimension to his art.

Trepaneringsritualen – The Totality Of Death’ CD
With an impressive discography populated by small runs of cassette and vinyl releases, Sweden’s Trepaneringsritualen (aka Thomas Martin Ekelund) has quickly cultivated a cult following not normally seen within industrial music in 2013. With an uncanny ability to tap into the primitive nature of old school ritual ambient and death industrial, Trepaneringsritualen creates a strikingly authentic sound; shadowy and endlessly bleak, replete with clanking metal, slow, ceremonial percussion, and brooding textural depth, all infused with vocal incantations and murky, post-mortem atmospheres. The Totality of Death is technically a 2cd set, released separately yet simultaneously between US label Malignant and Silken Tofu. It’s a 2 hour collection of rare and out of print recordings in addition to never before released tracks. The artwork and layout is nearly identical, and both were printed in editions of 500 copies. A must have for all those that appreciate the more obscure and darker side of true industrial music, and sure to go fast…
